Buick/NCAA: Asad Abdul-Khaliq

This quick film is of Asad Abdul-Khaliq. He was the starting quarterback for the University of Minnesota from 1999-2003. A tragic event happened to a teammate that made Asad reflect on his situation as a student-athlete, a husband and a father. He co-founded a non-profit called Student Athletes With Children (SAWC). The goals of SAWC is to open student-athletes' eyes to much more than sports (e.g. the power of education) so they are prepared to for the real world after sports.
